Austin City Limits Music Festival marks its 25th anniversary this month with a two-weekend run, October 2–4 and October 9–11, and for viewers who cannot make it to Texas, all three days of the first weekend will stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
The headliners carry weight across pop, indie and electronic music: Charli xcx, the xx, Lorde, Twenty One Pilots and Skrillex. The streaming arrangement gives the festival a national audience without a ticket, and the dual-channel schedule means viewers will face real choices: Charli XCX or Skrillex on Friday night, Lorde or Bleachers on Saturday. How the festival handles the second weekend, October 9–11, which is not part of the announced stream, may determine whether the broadcast becomes a permanent fixture of the anniversary edition.
