Bass-Baritone Brandon Cedel Signs with Opus 3 for Worldwide Management

American bass-baritone Brandon Cedel has joined the roster of Opus 3 for worldwide management.

The move places Cedel with an agency whose recent signings include soprano Karita Mattila and the Los Angeles Master Chorale, both announced earlier by OperaWire.

Cedel has built an international career spanning leading opera houses and orchestras across North America and Europe. His credits include performances at The Metropolitan Opera, English National Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival, Staatsoper Stuttgart, and Komische Oper Berlin. From 2016 to 2019, he was an ensemble member of Oper Frankfurt.

His repertoire covers Mozart, Shostakovich, Handel, Bernstein, Beethoven, Schumann, and Berlioz.

The 2026-27 season will test the new partnership quickly. Cedel returns to Houston Grand Opera, debuts with The Dallas Opera, and performs with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, and Kansas City Symphony. The mix of opera engagements and orchestral dates reflects the breadth his new management will coordinate across two continents.
