Programme

  1. Mainland Madinia is the duo's second album, produced by Soulwax and released on Deewee and Because.
  2. The tour runs February 21 (Cologne) through April 3 (Brooklyn), totaling 21 dates.
  3. New single "From Healer to Dealer" satirizes wellness culture via characters named Grace and Ruben.
  4. The album contains 12 tracks, including the September single "Googoo Gaga."

Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul will release their second album, Mainland Madinina, and play 21 tour dates across Europe and North America starting February 21 in Cologne. The follow-up to their 2022 debut Topical Dancer again features production from Soulwax, the Belgian electronic duo, and will be released jointly on their Deewee label and Because Music.

The announcement comes with a new single, "From Healer to Dealer," which satirizes wellness culture through two characters named Grace and Ruben. Its video, directed by Lennert Madou, is a high-octane aerobic montage. The track follows "Googoo Gaga," a parenthood-themed song the pair released in September.

What does the new album contain?

Mainland Madinina runs 12 tracks, and the announced sequence is:

  • Restless
  • GooGoo Gaga
  • Stepmother
  • Mana
  • From Healer to Dealer
  • Saint-Lucia
  • Pleaser to Meet You
  • Losing My Shit
  • Délirez-Vous?
  • Dad or Alive
  • Rite of Passage
  • I'm Lost

The title points to the duo's Caribbean roots—Madinina is a Carib name for Martinique—though the pair have built their reputation on dance-floor satire in French and English rather than straightforward autobiography.

Why Soulwax again?

The partnership goes back to the duo's earliest releases on Deewee, and both artists say the Belgian producers function less like producers and more like fixers. Adigéry said: "They're people who can really inspire us when we get stuck—they invite us to go deeper, to really grasp the intention behind the song."

Pupul put it more bluntly: "They're still the musical chiropractors—they really know where to push when stuck."

That working method—diagnosing exactly where a song blocks and adjusting it—suggests the new record will keep the tight, revision-heavy craft that shaped Topical Dancer, an album praised for its wit and unease.

Where and when can you see them?

The tour opens February 21 at Club Volta in Cologne and moves quickly through major European rooms, including Paradiso in Amsterdam (February 23), AB in Brussels (February 25), Élysée Montmartre in Paris (February 26), and Here @ Outernet in London (March 4).

The European leg runs through March 13 in Warsaw, then the duo cross the Atlantic:

  • March 23 — Los Angeles, Teragram Ballroom
  • March 24 — San Francisco, Great American Music Hall
  • March 26 — Portland, Polaris Hall
  • March 27 — Vancouver, Hollywood Theatre
  • March 28 — Seattle, Neumos
  • March 30 — Chicago, Lincoln Hall
  • April 2 — Washington, DC, The Atlantis
  • April 3 — Brooklyn, Warsaw

What does this change for the duo?

The tour marks their most extensive routing since the Topical Dancer cycle, and the album gives them a second act on labels—Deewee and Because—with proven reach in both electronic and indie circles. With two satirical singles already out, the pair are betting that listeners who came for the jokes on their debut will stay for a record that keeps probing family, healing culture, and identity.
