Chris Harrison hosts a new dating show premiering Nov. 11 on Fox Nation. It's called "The Vow." It has one bachelor, 10 women and, yes, a rose.
The bachelor is Jace Cates, 30. The trailer shows him splitting his attention among the contestants and cradling an infant, which prompts one cast member to declare: "I think Jace would be an amazing dad. Oh my gosh, like, put a baby in me now!" Romance, in 2025, apparently moves fast.
Fox Nation will release one episode per week until the finale on Dec. 9.
What is the show actually about?
Per the official description, "The Vow" explores "whether shared values, faith, communication, and long-term goals can build a relationship designed to last long after the cameras stop rolling." The series positions itself against modern dating culture — "fleeting connections and social media attention" — by focusing on "meaningful relationships, commitment and building a life together."
Harrison said in a statement: "I'm so excited to be back helping people find love, and Fox Nation has been an incredible partner in bringing this vision to life."
He went further. "We were inspired by the faith-driven renaissance happening across America, and as a result, I believe we've created the most authentic dating show on television today. At a time when so many people feel dating has become harder than ever, 'The Vow' asks a simple but important question: Can genuine, lasting love still be found in the modern world? The stakes couldn't be higher. I'm incredibly proud and honored to put my name on this show."
The stakes of a dating show. Noted.
Why the rose matters
The first teaser leaned hard into Harrison's history with TV's most famous dating franchise. In it, the host throws a red rose — the enduring symbol of "The Bachelor" — to the ground and threatens to step on it. Subtle, this show is not.
"The Vow" will also feature Sean and Catherine Lowe. Their love story unfolded on Season 17 of "The Bachelor" in 2013, and they've been married since — one of reality television's rare durable couples, and useful evidence for a show selling longevity.
Why Harrison left 'The Bachelor'
Harrison hosted "The Bachelor" and every spinoff from the franchise's launch in 2002. He exited in 2021 after comments defending former contestant Rachael Kirkconnell drew sharp backlash; many perceived the remarks as racially insensitive. "The Vow" marks his return to the format, five years after that exit.
The wager here is straightforward: faith-forward framing, a proven host and a proven couple, aimed at an audience Fox Nation already owns. Whether authenticity survives a weekly release schedule and a Dec. 9 finale is the question the trailer declines to answer.
