Programme

  1. Diiv announced a 47-date world tour running February 12 to June 30, 2027.
  2. The tour supports ZIRP!, produced by A.G. Cook and released Friday on Fantasy Recordings.
  3. The album features the songs "The Fountain" and "Kid," the latter with a video filmed by Zachary Cole Smith's son Roy and his friend Julian.
  4. Diiv play Pitchfork Paris and Pitchfork London this year before the 2027 tour.
  5. The final show is at the Troxy in London on June 30, 2027.

Diiv have announced a 47-date world tour for 2027, opening at Laneway Festival in Sydney on February 12 and closing at the Troxy in London on June 30. The run supports their new A.G. Cook-produced album ZIRP!, which arrives Friday on Fantasy Recordings.

The band also released a new single, "Dare Me," alongside the announcement. ZIRP! follows Diiv's 2024 album Frog in Boiling Water and features the songs "The Fountain" and "Kid." The latter premiered in September with a music video filmed by frontman Zachary Cole Smith's son Roy and Roy's friend Julian — a nine-year-old's-eye view of the band, in effect, though the source does not say whether the children directed it themselves or operated cameras under supervision.

What does the tour actually cover?

The itinerary splits into four broad blocks:

  • Australia, New Zealand and Japan (February): four Laneway Festival stops — Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland — plus two nights at Kanda Square Hall in Tokyo on February 24 and 25.
  • North America (April–May): 29 shows across the United States and Canada, starting April 7 at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis and ending May 21 at The Observatory at North Park in San Diego.
  • Continental Europe (May–June): French dates including L'Olympia in Paris on June 1, Primavera Sound in Barcelona June 3–5, Best Kept Secret in the Netherlands on June 13, and club shows in Hamburg, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Munich, Cologne and Zurich.
  • UK and Ireland (June): Brighton, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Bristol and a final London show at the Troxy on June 30.

The venue scale is worth noting. Irving Plaza in New York holds roughly a thousand people; the Troxy in London around three thousand. For a band touring behind an album produced by A.G. Cook — the producer central to pop's experimental avant-garde — these are deliberate mid-size rooms, not arena plays. Whether that reflects ambition or caution, the announcement does not say.

What happens before 2027?

Diiv will play this year's Pitchfork Paris and Pitchfork London festivals before the tour begins, appearing on bills that also include Iceage, Bassvictim, the Avalanches, Los Thuthanaka, Noname and Bill Orcutt, among others. The announcement gives no exact dates for those festival sets, and no support acts for the 2027 tour have been named.

Ticket on-sale dates are also absent from the announcement — a gap buyers will want filled quickly, and one the band's label has not yet addressed.

What the announcement does establish is the shape of Diiv's next two years: a Friday release, two festival appearances in 2025, and a five-month, five-continent-spanning circuit that tests whether the Cook collaboration converts into the band's biggest touring footprint to date.
