Jonas Kaufmann to Headline Palm Beach Opera's 2027 Gala

Jonas Kaufmann will headline Palm Beach Opera's annual gala, the company has announced. The performance marks his Palm Beach Opera debut.

The gala takes place on Feb. 10, 2027 at The Breakers Palm Beach. According to the company, the evening will feature signature cocktails, a performance by Kaufmann, a dinner, and dancing.

Proceeds support Palm Beach Opera's programming across three areas: its mainstage performances, its education programs, and its artist training initiatives.

Kaufmann arrives in Florida with a major American season behind him. The tenor returns to the United States in 2026-27 to open Carnegie Hall's season. He will also perform "Tosca" with the New York Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall in the same season.

The gala has a history of booking major voices. Past headliners include Anna Netrebko, Nadine Sierra, Piotr Beczala, Christian Van Horn, José Carreras, and Isabel Leonard. Kaufmann's debut adds one of the most prominent tenors of his generation to that list.

For Palm Beach Opera, the booking signals continued ambition for its flagship fundraiser. The Feb. 10, 2027 date gives the company more than a year to build anticipation around a singer who has never before appeared on a Palm Beach Opera stage.
