Mandeep Dhillon, known for "MobLand," has started production on "The Things I Want to Do to You," a psychological drama she wrote herself and will star in. BAFTA nominee Lynette Linton directs, and the cast includes "Bridgerton" star Golda Rosheuvel and "The Game's" Scott Karim.

The shoot is running now in the U.K. It's the first project from Hazy Plant Pictures Ltd., Dhillon's own production banner, with Katie Glaister producing.

What is the film about?

The official synopsis frames it as a story of "rage, revenge, trauma and the complexities of seeking justice." The plot follows a woman dealing with the aftermath of a deeply personal violation. Through increasingly provocative fantasies, she confronts what she wishes she could do to the man responsible.

The film deliberately blurs imagination and reality. Its stated subject is the anger women are often forced to carry in silence, and what happens when that anger finally demands to be heard.

Why Dhillon wrote it

Dhillon laid out her thinking in a statement: "I've always been fascinated by the things we think but never say out loud, particularly when we've been wronged."

She continued: "The anger, the grief, the fantasies of revenge and the conversations we have in our heads that will never happen in real life. I think so many women carry the weight of injustice, often in silence. I wanted to explore that space between what we feel, what we imagine and what we actually do. The darker, sometimes outrageous, places our minds can go when we feel powerless."

Her summary of the film's core: "At its heart, this film is about giving a voice to those unspoken emotions and exploring what it means to carry something you never asked for."

What does this change for Dhillon's career?

It marks her shift from performer to writer-producer. Launching her own company means she now controls the material she creates, and she's made the stakes explicit: "As the first production from my company, Hazy Plant Pictures, it feels particularly special, and I couldn't be more excited for this to mark the beginning of our journey."

The supporting cast includes Arabella Coombes, Eisa Latif and Saher Shah.

Dhillon also credited her collaborators: "To be bringing this story to life alongside Lynette Linton, Golda Rosheuvel and such an incredible team is something I'm immensely proud of."

With production underway, the short now heads toward post-production and, eventually, a festival or platform run — the usual route for a U.K. short with this cast profile. Where it lands will shape how quickly Hazy Plant Pictures moves on its next project.
