  1. Meghan Trainor listed her Encino home for just under $18 million after buying it for about $17 million in 2024.
  2. The 15,000-square-foot compound was designed by architect Jae Omar and completed in 2019.
  3. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner paid $14.1 million in 2019; Zedd paid $15.2 million in 2021.
  4. The estate has six bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, a recording studio added by Zedd, a guesthouse with a movie theater and billiards pub.

Meghan Trainor has listed her Encino, California, home for just under $18 million, placing a nearly 15,000-square-foot compound back on a market it has never left quietly. If the singer and her actor husband, Daryl Sabara, sell to another notable name, the estate will extend an unbroken chain of celebrity owners that began in 2019.

The chain runs like this. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner bought the house first, paying $14.1 million when construction completed in 2019. They sold it to DJ Zedd in 2021 for $15.2 million. Trainor bought it from Zedd in 2024 for about $17 million. Now she is asking just under $18 million for it. The property has never been owned by someone without a Wikipedia page.

What does the price history tell us?

Each sale has pushed the number upward, but the gains are modest against the scale of the deals. The asking price represents roughly a 5% increase over Trainor's 2024 purchase price. Whether the market supports that step up is the open question the listing does not answer.

The listing description makes its own claim: "This compound is for the most discerning Buyer." Discerning, in this case, means six bedrooms and twelve bathrooms behind tall gates and hedges.

Architect Jae Omar designed the contemporary-style build. The main floor holds a great room with two fireplaces, wall-to-wall pocket doors opening to the backyard, and a library nook. The eat-in kitchen has a built-in bar and a center island with a live-edge wooden breakfast bar seating seven. A catering kitchen, an office, a fitness and wellness center, and a playroom with a climbing wall, a slide, and a foam pit fill out the level.

What did Zedd leave behind?

The house carries one owner's imprint in particular. Zedd added a recording studio during his ownership and described it as "perhaps the best-sounding studio in the world." That is a seller's superlative, not a verified acoustician's report — but it is the amenity most likely to attract the next musician in line.

Upstairs, five ensuite bedrooms sit alongside another fireplace-warmed living area. The primary suite adds a third fireplace, a wet bar, a bathroom, two dressing rooms, and walls that slide open to a balcony.

Outside, the grounds offer a pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, a putting green, a projection screen, and a fire pit. A guesthouse with a billiards pub and a movie theater completes the compound.

The practical question is simple: who buys next? The house has traded between musicians and actors three times in five years, each time within a fairly narrow band between $14.1 million and $18 million. If that pattern holds, the next owner arrives with a public profile already attached — and the estate keeps its streak intact.
