Paramount+ has acquired non-exclusive streaming rights to more than 60 hours of children's programming from Moonbug Entertainment, including series from the "CoComelon" and "Blippi" universes. The first shows arrive on the platform on November 1.
The deal marks the first time Paramount+ has carried Moonbug programming. It covers eight territories: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Latin America.
The rollout comes in two waves. On November 1, Paramount+ adds "Blippi" Season 1, "CoComelon's JJ's Animal Time" Season 1 and "Little Angel." On December 15, the slate expands with "Blippi" Season 2, "CoComelon's The Melon Patch" Seasons 1 and 2, "Little Baby Bum Universe" and "Meekah."
Nicolas Eglau, managing director EMEA, APAC and global distribution at Moonbug Entertainment, framed the deal as a way to widen the company's reach. "We're excited to work with an ambitious partner like Paramount+ to bring Moonbug's brands to even more families around the world," Eglau said in a statement. "Paramount+ has built a strong kids and family offering, and we believe our much-loved brands are a natural complement to their slate. We share an ambition to deliver great entertainment for kids and families, and we're looking forward to what we can build together."
What does this change for parents and streamers?
The rights are non-exclusive, and Moonbug shows already stream widely elsewhere. "CoComelon's JJ's Animal Time" and "CoComelon's The Melon Patch" are available on Netflix and Disney+. "Blippi" and "Meekah" also appear on Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video. "Little Baby Bum" streams on Netflix, and "Little Angel" on Netflix and Disney+.
For subscribers, the deal means consolidation rather than exclusivity. Families with a Paramount+ subscription gain one more destination for franchises their children already watch, without losing access on rival services. For Paramount+, the move pads a kids-and-family slate that Eglau called strong, with brands that arrive carrying established audiences.
Moonbug, part of Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs' Candle Media, has built its business on distributing fare across multiple platforms rather than tying its franchises to a single service. This agreement extends that strategy to a fourth major streaming group, alongside Netflix, Disney and Amazon-linked platforms.
The November 1 launch gives Paramount+ a high-profile kids addition heading into the holiday quarter, with the second wave landing on December 15.
