Peacock will premiere the two-part O.J. Simpson documentary "OJ's Accomplice" on November 1, moving the release up from its original December slot. The film explores the possibility that the former football star did not act alone on the night of June 12, 1994, when his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered.

The streamer has also released a first look featuring courtroom footage and a new eyewitness account. "OJ's Accomplice" re-examines the crime scene and key evidence through interviews with the original defense investigator Pat McKenna, lead detective Tom Lange, DEA agent Robert Brisolari, Simpson's original defense team, Kato Kaelin — the former roommate of A.C. Cowlings — and Tanya Brown, Nicole Brown's sister.

Ari Mark and Sumit David direct, and executive produce for Ample Entertainment. Sphere Abacus oversees all licensing and distribution.

What else is moving in television?

Muck Media has partnered with novelist Gary Shteyngart to adapt his forthcoming essay collection "The Sensualist: Adventures in Pure Pleasure" into a documentary. The series follows Shteyngart around the globe — tracking the world's largest rodent in South America, boarding the biggest cruise ship, and traveling to Naples, Havana, Bombay and Beijing — to argue that savoring life is an act of resistance. Random House publishes the collection next month.

"Adapting 'The Sensualist' feels less like a development decision and more like a moral obligation," said director Darren Foster, partner at Muck Media and series producer. "Once you see the world through Gary's sensualist lens, you can't unsee it — it's the perfect tonic for our hangdog times. Comic, hyper-observant, self-lacerating, worldly and unexpectedly tender, this is Gary Shteyngart as a radical pied-piper: making you believe that pleasure, properly pursued, might actually save us all."

What is The CW airing this holiday season?

The CW Network announced a holiday slate beginning November 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with the network premiere of "Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love." "The Wizard of Oz" makes its CW debut on November 25. Family favorites include "A Very Brady Christmas" on December 6, "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" on November 27 and "A Flintstone Christmas" the same night.

New specials include "World's Funniest Moments: Christmas" on December 16 and "Masters of Illusion: Christmas Magic" on December 17. The network will also air the 94th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade on December 18 and the 47th Annual Holiday Bowl on December 28. The CW is the exclusive broadcast partner for the 13th San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, airing December 23.

Who is joining SeriesFest's board?

SeriesFest has named Rhea Seehorn, Eugene Hernandez and Patrick Macmanus to its 36-member Industry Advisory Board. The nonprofit champions emerging television artists through an international festival and year-round initiatives. New members this year include Annie Laks of Shondaland, filmmaker and actor Marco Calvani ("The Four Seasons"), Emily Vogel of TheWrap and Leslie Cohen of Cinema Girl.

The board also counts Katie Lowes ("Scandal"), Jeremy Gold, Tom Verica ("Bridgerton") and Jocko Sims ("New Amsterdam") among its members, alongside agents, producers and executives from companies including The Gersh Agency, Netflix, dentsu and Sundance Film Festival.

What does this change for viewers? The shortened gap between production and release on "OJ's Accomplice" signals Peacock's confidence in true-crime programming heading into the competitive final quarter of the year, while The CW's bowl-game exclusivity extends its live-sports footprint.
