The Teatro Pergolesi di Jesi has announced its 59th season, a four-opera program running from October through December 2026 with baritone Massimo Cavalletti, soprano Alessandra di Giorgio, baritone Fabián Veloz and mezzo-soprano Nikoletta Hertsak in leading roles.

The season opens with Puccini's "Il Trittico" on October 9 and 11, 2026. Cavalletti, Giulio Pelligra, Alessandra di Giorgio and Elena Antonini perform "Il Tabarro"; di Giorgio and Arlene Miatto Albeldas sing "Suor Angelica"; and Cavalletti, Francesca Maionchi, Arlene Miatto Albeldas and Pelligra close the triptych in "Gianni Schicchi." Stefano Vignati conducts, with Paul-Émile Fourny directing the production.

Donizetti's "Don Pasquale" follows on October 30 and 31, 2026. Bruno Taddia, Daniele Terenzi, Antonio Mandrillo and Nikoletta Hertsak star, with Danila Grassi conducting a staging by Italo Nunziata.

The season's centerpiece is riskier. On November 14 and 15, 2026, the company presents the world premiere of "L'esecuzione. Sotto lo sguardo di Tosca" by Marco Malvaldi and Salvatore Passantino — a new work that takes its frame from Puccini's Tosca. Aloisa Aisemberg, Riccardo Liberatore, Giacomo Medici, Tiziano Rosati and Laura Fortino perform. Eddi De Nadai conducts, and Italo Nunziata directs.

Verdi's "Nabucco" closes the season on December 11 and 13, 2026. Fabián Veloz, Joseph Dahdah, Alberto Comes, Julija Vasiljeva and Arlene Miatto Albedas star, with Marco Attura at the podium and Paul-Émile Fourny returning to direct.

The lineup gives the Marche theater a season balanced between repertory staples and a new commission, with Fourny and Nunziata each directing two productions. The world premiere in November will test whether the Pergolesi's audience follows the company into contemporary work between three nineteenth-century warhorses.
