The story centers on an influencer whose life collapses under an online pile-on. She returns as a ghost with little time to get even, and forms an unlikely bond along the way.
Who made the film?
Artistaya Arriyawongsa directed and co-wrote the picture, which uses the supernatural to examine online cruelty and the public shaming it fuels. He is the in-house director at producer Tham Studio19. His credits include the company's horror hit "The Elite of Devils" (2024) and "Waning Moon" (2020).
"Sometimes the monsters we fear are the ones we create ourselves," Arriyawongsa said.
Yoshi Rinrada, who has millions of followers of her own, plays the influencer at the center of the story. Elliott Tong of Autumn Sun Films said the casting gives the film an unusual charge.
"Our star, Yoshi Rinrada, is a true trailblazer in Thai entertainment with millions of followers of her own. Playing an influencer in her first leading horror role, she brings so much of herself to the part that it's truly art imitating life," Tong said.
What does the Screamfest premiere signal?
The North American debut at Screamfest, a genre-focused festival, positions the film for further English-language territory sales. The Halloween opening in Macau and the November roll-out across Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei will provide the first box-office test of whether a horror film rooted in influencer culture travels beyond Thailand.
