Alesso and Ryan Tedder have released their first collaboration in more than a decade, the single "In Your Eyes," out now through Interscope Capitol.

The reunion pairs the Swedish producer with the OneRepublic frontman whose voice powered "If I Lose Myself," the 2013 remix that became one of the defining electronic anthems of the 2010s. That track has passed 500 million streams on Spotify. Not bad for a song built on the standard progressive-house (a melodic, build-and-drop strain of dance music) toolkit of the era.

"When I get the opportunity to work with Tedder and OneRepublic, something magical always happens," Alesso said. He described the new single as a return to a golden era and said getting back into the studio together felt completely natural.

What does the new single sound like?

"In Your Eyes" explores devotion and unconditional love, pairing Tedder's expressive vocals with Alesso's melodic production. The song gives its lyrics room to grow before the production opens up, saving the emotional payoff for the drop. It's the same architecture that made "If I Lose Myself" send thousands of festival arms skyward.

Their shared catalogue runs deeper than one hit. The pair previously worked together on:

  • "If I Lose Myself" (2013), the festival favourite with over 500 million Spotify streams
  • "Calling (Lose My Mind)," made alongside Sebastian Ingrosso
  • "Scars"

The division of labour has stayed consistent, according to the announcement. Tedder writes melodies that feel instantly familiar on first listen; Alesso wraps them in a full dancefloor experience. One supplies the emotional centre, the other makes it fill an arena.

Why does the timing matter?

Alesso is having a busy stretch. His 2026 began with appearances at Milan Fashion Week and X Games Aspen, plus the release of the single "Fade." He then launched his first U.S. headlining tour, opening at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado before continuing to San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City.

He has also announced a major homecoming performance in Stockholm, the city where his career began. Those large live settings remain central to his appeal: his records are written to connect the fan at the barrier with everyone dancing behind them.

The reunion trades on proven chemistry rather than novelty. The opening notes of "If I Lose Myself" can still drop a listener into a festival field in 2013, surrounded by strangers singing every word. "In Your Eyes" now joins that shared history, and with Alesso on the road through America's biggest venues this year, the new material has plenty of room to prove it belongs there.
