Yung Miami has announced her debut solo album, Watch Dis, two years after City Girls officially split to pursue separate solo careers. On Thursday, the rapper shared a dramatic trailer for the long-teased record.
The clip opens with public criticism she has faced from Joe Budden and Akademiks. In the trailer, Akademiks says: "You failed at everything in life, the music you made is wack." Miami responds directly: "I don't know how some days I built the courage to go in the studio to even record. But I remember putting all my emotions, all of that energy, everything I felt, into this album."
Pitchfork can exclusively reveal that Watch Dis will span 20 songs and include features from Quavo, G Herbo, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Shenseea, Vybz Kartel, and more. The release date remains unannounced. The cover art, debuted by Pitchfork, accompanies the announcement.
Yung Miami will release two Watch Dis singles at midnight tonight: "2008" and "F U."
"I could've come back with one song and played it safe, but why?" Miami said in a statement to Pitchfork. "I'm confident in what I made. I'm back to pop my shit and I want everybody to watch dis."
The album follows a productive run for the rapper in 2026, including a stream of tracks led by "Spend Dat," a chart-topping song-of-summer contender. Her last full-length release under the City Girls alias was 2023's RAW, recorded with JT.
After the duo's split, Miami turned her attention to her talk show, Caresha Please, which debuted its last season in 2024.
With a 20-track tracklist, high-profile guests spanning Atlanta rap and dancehall, and a double-single launch, Watch Dis positions Miami to define her artistic identity entirely on her own terms.
