Angine de Poitrine Announce 2027 World Tour Spanning Six Continents' Worth of Dates
Angine de Poitrine open a 2027 world tour in Melbourne on March 4, their first Australian date, before Lollapalooza stops and two nights at O2 Academy Brixton.

Programme
- The 2027 tour opens March 4 at Forum Melbourne, the duo's first Australian show
- The band won the 2026 Polaris Music Prize for Vol. II, released in April
- The 2026 leg includes three nights at Brooklyn Steel, November 16-18
- The 2027 run closes July 30 at Zone Portuaire in Chicoutimi, Quebec
- European festival dates include Primavera Sound Barcelona, June 3-5
Angine de Poitrine will launch a 2027 international tour in March, opening with the first Australian dates of their career at Melbourne's Forum on March 4 before moving through South America, Canada, the US, Europe and the UK.
The Quebecois math rock duo have not yet finished their current run of dates — they play Paris's Élysée Montmartre on October 21 and 22 — but the new itinerary already stretches to July 30, 2027, when they close at Zone Portuaire in Chicoutimi, Quebec. Two nights earlier, on July 18, they play Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre. The schedule lists roughly 60 performances in total.
What has fuelled the expansion?
The band released their latest album, Vol. II, in April. Since then they have performed on Later… With Jools Holland and The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and they won the 2026 Polaris Music Prize. Vol. II also appears in The Best Music of 2026 So Far.
The announcement itself notes the duo's "polka-dotted visages have become nigh inescapable." The strongest evidence offered for that claim is a costume: an "Angine de Pawtrine" outfit that, according to the announcement, "made waves" at the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade this past weekend. A dog parade costume is a thin metric for cultural omnipresence, but the Polaris Prize and the late-night television bookings are on the record.
What does the tour actually include?
The 2027 leg opens in Australia:
- March 4: Melbourne, Forum Melbourne
- March 6: Meredith, Golden Plains festival
- March 7: Adelaide, WOMAdelaide
- March 9: Sydney, Enmore Theatre
South America follows, anchored by the Lollapalooza circuit: Buenos Aires on March 13, Santiago on March 14, São Paulo on March 19, plus Bogota's Estéreo Picnic on March 21.
A North American spring run follows in April and May, including two nights in Ottawa, two in Winnipeg, and US stops from Washington, D.C.'s The Anthem on May 2 through Denver's Mission Ballroom on May 15. Earlier, on the current 2026 leg, the band play three nights at Brooklyn Steel — November 16, 17 and 18 — alongside double nights at The Salt Shed in Chicago, First Avenue in Minneapolis, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland and Paramount Theatre appearances in Seattle.
The European summer of 2027 is festival-heavy: Primavera Sound in Barcelona (June 3-5), We Love Green in Paris (June 5), Festi'neuch in Neuchâtel (June 12), Magnolia Estivo in Milan (June 14), and simultaneous bookings at Hurricane Festival in Scheessel and Southside Festival in Neuhausen Ob Eck (June 18-20). The UK leg includes Halifax's The Piece Hall on June 24 and two nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton on June 28 and 29.
What does this change for the duo?
The Australia and South America dates take Angine de Poitrine into territories the announcement describes as firsts, at least for the Australian leg. Festival slots at Lollapalooza and Primavera put them on bills with international reach; the Brixton and RBC Amphitheatre bookings indicate venues larger than the clubs that dominate the 2026 itinerary. No new music accompanies the announcement — the tour still rests on Vol. II, now more than a year old by the time the band reach Melbourne.
