A feature-length documentary on Danielle Harris, the actress who appeared in four "Halloween" films, is in post-production at Deranged Minds Entertainment, with a festival run planned for 2027.

Directors Destinie Orndoff and Tristan Clay shot the film over three years. It draws on archival footage, private home video, and new interviews with Harris, her family, friends and collaborators. Producers are Orndoff, Clay, Hayden Todd Wilberger and Jordan Wyant.

Harris, 47, built her career as a child star before becoming one of horror's most recognized "scream queens." Her credits span 1988's "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers," 1989's "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers," 1991's "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead," Rob Zombie's 2007 "Halloween" and 2009's "Halloween II." She also appeared on television in "Roseanne" and "The Wild Thornberrys."

What does the film cover?

The official description frames the documentary around both the career and the private toll behind it. "Before she was old enough to drive, Danielle Harris had outrun Michael Myers twice and held her own opposite Bruce Willis and Roseanne Barr," it reads. "Off screen, she survived far worse: her father's death in an unsolved car accident, the suicides of a famous partner and a close friend, a stalker who tracked her for two decades and a pregnancy complication that stopped her heart."

The count is stark: by the official description, Harris faced at least four major personal tragedies alongside a two-decade stalking ordeal, all while maintaining a screen career that began before she could legally drive.

Orndoff addressed that gap between public image and private life directly. "People think they know Danielle because they grew up watching her," Orndoff said in a statement. "They've seen the performances. They've never seen what it cost her, and Danielle didn't hold anything back."

Who is making it?

Clay, who directs and produces alongside Orndoff, emphasized the access the three-year shoot afforded. "In the three years of filming, I had the honor of getting to know the woman off the screen," Clay said in a statement. "I can't wait for audiences to see this side of her."

The project sits with Deranged Minds Entertainment, the genre-focused banner that announced the documentary exclusively. Distribution inquiries are being directed to the company by email, indicating the film does not yet have a sales or streaming partner attached.

What happens next?

The documentary's festival run is planned for 2027, giving the producers time to secure distribution before a wider release. For Harris, whose screen history stretches from late-1980s child roles to modern horror franchising, the film positions her story as both a genre chronicle and a record of survival.

How a finished documentary frames a two-decade stalking case and a stopped heart on the delivery table — with Harris's own testimony at its center — will determine whether it lands as exploitation or as testimony.
