Dezeen has named 19 winners in the architecture public vote for the Dezeen Awards 2026. Readers chose projects by Blight Rayner Architecture, Foster + Partners and Schemata Architects as their favourites across the category shortlists.
The vote ran from 28 September to 16 October. Readers selected favourites from a 392-strong shortlist spanning Dezeen Awards' three main category sectors. This year's architecture category sponsors include Michelmersh and Sanderson.
Which studios won twice?
French studio Collectif Encore took the biggest share. Its transformation of a former industrial warehouse into an open civic infrastructure won the majority vote in each of its two competing categories — mixed-use project and sustainable renovation, both for La Friche d'Oloron-Sainte-Marie in France.
Tehran-based ZAV Architects also won twice, with readers selecting two of the practice's projects in their respective categories: Golmorad in Tehran and Olive Leaf in Minoudasht.
That means two studios claimed four of the 19 categories between them.

How does the public vote differ from the judged awards?
The public vote is separate from the main judging process, in which entries are assessed by Dezeen's panel of industry-leading judges. The overall winners of this year's programme will be announced at the Dezeen Awards 2026 party on 16 November at the Royal Opera House in London.
Dezeen says tickets for the party are selling fast. The event offers entrants a chance to celebrate alongside fellow nominees, winners and the awards judges.
Dezeen Awards 2026 runs in partnership with Trimble, the ninth edition of the annual awards backed by the global technology company, which supports designers through connected hardware and software solutions.
What comes next?
The public vote results continue this week. Dezeen will publish the interiors winners tomorrow, followed by the design winners on Wednesday — before the judged programme culminates at the Royal Opera House on 16 November.
