Programme
- Inde Navarrette's Halloween 'SNL' episode drew 5.2 million viewers, a Season 52 high.
- The episode generated 325 million video views across YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok.
- It was Peacock's best 'SNL' performance since Harry Styles' March episode.
- Only two Season 51 episodes beat 5.2 million: Ariana Grande's (5.4M) and Will Ferrell's (5.3M).
- Druski hosts Nov. 7 with the Strokes; John Mulaney hosts Nov. 14 with Phoebe Bridgers.
Inde Navarrette drew 5.2 million viewers to "Saturday Night Live" as host of the Halloween episode — the show's biggest audience of Season 52. The "Obsession" star's hot streak, as Variety reports it, now includes out-rating every host the season has produced so far.
That's a short list, but a telling one. Navarrette's episode beat the numbers posted by Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson, Dakota Johnson (whose show featured a cameo from Taylor Swift), and Shane Gillis, whose hosting gig courted controversy. Beat the Taylor Swift cameo episode. That's the part that will get attention.
How does 5.2 million compare to recent 'SNL' history?
The number holds up against the biggest episodes of Season 51. Only two installments from that season cleared 5.2 million, and both came loaded with star power. Ariana Grande hosted in December 2025 — Bowen Yang's final episode as a cast member, with Cher as musical guest — and pulled 5.4 million. The season finale, hosted by "SNL" alum Will Ferrell with Paul McCartney as musical guest, drew 5.3 million.
So Navarrette landed within shouting distance of Ariana Grande-with-Cher and Will Ferrell-with-Paul-McCartney. For a first-time host, that's a serious showing against two of the most decorated lineups the show has staged.
The episode's reach didn't stop at broadcast. Key benchmarks from the Halloween installment:
- Best performance on Peacock since the March Season 51 episode hosted by Harry Styles, who doubled as musical guest.
- Best rating among adults 18-49 since the November 2024 episode hosted by John Mulaney.
- 325 million video views across YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok — a season high.
Who joined Navarrette on the episode?
Gracie Abrams served as musical guest. Tom Hanks reprised his David S. Pumpkins sketch alongside "SNL" alum Bobby Moynihan — a Halloween-appropriate revival of one of the show's more durable oddities.
What's next for Studio 8H?
The calendar doesn't slow down. Druski hosts on Nov. 7 with the Strokes as musical guest. On Nov. 14, John Mulaney returns for his seventh hosting stint, joined by Phoebe Bridgers — and if Navarrette's 18-49 record dates to a Mulaney episode, that pairing gives him a direct shot at breaking it.
