Robyn and Mechatok have released a two-track remix single today, with each artist reworking the other's material.
Robyn contributes a verse and chorus assist to "Expression on Your Face," the Ecco2k and Bladee-led launch track from Mechatok's debut album, last year's Wide Awake. The single packages that rework alongside the Mechatok remix of "Fembot," a track from Robyn's 2010 album Body Talk.
The release is credited to Robyn's Konichiwa label and Universal-Island, under exclusive license to Young.
What is the live connection?
Robyn has already adopted the Mechatok remix of "Fembot" as her set opener at recent dates of her Sexistential tour.
The pairing links two established names. Robyn released Body Talk in 2010; Mechatok, the German producer, issued his debut album Wide Awake last year. The collaboration turns studio exchange into stage practice, with the remix now functioning as the entry point to Robyn's live show.
