Rosé will perform at LACMA's Art+Film Gala on November 7. The Blackpink vocalist headlines the museum's 15th annual fundraiser, presented again by Gucci.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art confirmed the booking. The gala will honor two recipients: Latvian American artist Vija Celmins, long celebrated for her meticulous renderings of the natural world, and Denis Villeneuve, the director of Dune and Arrival. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow return as co-chairs.
Who said what?
"The LACMA Art+Film Gala celebrates creative icons and the connections between all forms of creativity, all around the world," Chow said in a statement. "As a global pop superstar, Rosé will amplify the spirit of the evening with her incomparable talent and style."
The pairing follows the gala's founding format: each year, one visual artist and one filmmaker receive honors. The first edition, in 2011, dedicated its program to John Baldessari and Clint Eastwood. The event has since become a fixture of Los Angeles's art calendar.
What do the numbers say?
The gala's fundraising is holding steady and climbing. The 2025 edition raised $6.5 million, slightly up from $6.4 million the previous year — roughly $100,000 of growth year over year.
Tickets start at $10,000. That price puts the evening among the most expensive seats on the city's cultural calendar, accessible mainly to collectors, patrons and industry guests.
Rosé is not a newcomer to this event. She attended the gala in both 2022 and 2023. Her performance this year follows a roster of high-profile musical guests:
- Doja Cat, 2025
- Charli XCX, 2024, who brought out Troye Sivan as a surprise guest
- Annie Lennox, 2017
Why Rosé?
The numbers behind her solo career explain the booking. Her debut solo studio album, rosie, has surpassed 10 billion streams. Its hit single "APT.", a collaboration with Bruno Mars, earned her three Grammy nominations.
That streaming figure is a scale marker: 10 billion streams places rosie among the most-consumed solo debuts by any K-pop artist, and the Grammy nominations mark a rare crossover for a vocalist rooted in the idol system.
The choice signals LACMA's continued push to fuse pop music with its art-world audience — the same calculation that brought Doja Cat last year and Charli XCX the year before.
For those who can afford a ticket, which start at $10,000, say hello to the number one girl.
