Schubert Club Unveils Vocal Lineup for 2026-27 Courtroom Concerts

Minnesota's Schubert Club has announced the vocal programs of its 2026-27 Courtroom Concert Series, an eight-program lineup running from October 2026 through April 2027.

The series opens on Oct. 1, 2026, with Border CrosSing performing music from across Latin America.

On Oct. 15, 2026, mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski and pianist Casey Rafn perform a program that includes Stephen Paulus' "Heartland Portrait."

Mezzo-soprano Christine Amon, baritone Kenneth J. Pereira, and pianist Alex Woods share the program on Nov. 5, 2026.

The series turns to Filipino repertoire on Nov. 19, 2026, with "Kay ganda ng ating musika!" — the music of Ryan Cayabayab, performed by soprano Isabella Dawis, tenor Pablo Debuque, and pianist Walter Tambor.

Composer and series host Abbie Betinis curates "Songs of the Season" on Dec. 17, 2026.

The 2027 portion of the season begins with mezzo-soprano Kristina Rodel Sorum performing alongside the Lux String Quartet on Feb. 25 and 26, 2027.

The Wisconsin Gagok Ensemble then presents a program of Korean art song on March 25 and 26, 2027.

The Caritas Vocal Ensemble closes the announced season with a single performance on April 22, 2027.

The lineup gives Minneapolis audiences a season-long survey of vocal traditions spanning three continents, anchored by Betinis's curation and a mix of solo, ensemble, and collaborative formats.
