WWE Takes Over Disney World for 'Avengers: Doomsday' Event in December
WWE takes over Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports Dec. 14-15 with the John Cena Classic and an 'Avengers: Doomsday'-themed Worlds Collide event, streaming on Netflix.

Programme
- WWE takes over ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World on Dec. 14-15, 2025
- The John Cena Classic streams Dec. 14 on Netflix as a special 'Monday Night Raw'; Cody Rhodes is set to appear
- 'Worlds Collide' on Dec. 15 is themed around 'Avengers: Doomsday,' which hits theaters Dec. 18
- Two-day combo tickets go on sale Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster; presale begins Nov. 12
- WWE acquired lucha libre promotion AAA in 2025; its talent appears at Worlds Collide
WWE will take over the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort for two days in December, with a premium live event themed around Marvel's "Avengers: Doomsday." The collaboration, announced between WWE and The Walt Disney Company, arrives just days before the film opens in theaters on Dec. 18.
The takeover kicks off Dec. 14 with the John Cena Classic. Cody Rhodes is already confirmed to participate, alongside stars from across WWE's roster. The event streams live on Netflix as a special edition of "Monday Night Raw."
How does the fan voting work?
Members of Club WWE, the company's fan membership program, will vote in real time for their favorite superstar of the night. The winner receives the John Cena Classic Championship — a format that hands the audience direct control over the outcome, a mechanism WWE has increasingly leaned on for its live specials.
What happens on day two?
On Dec. 15, WWE stages "Worlds Collide," the "Avengers: Doomsday"-themed premium live event (WWE's term for its marquee pay-per-view-style shows). The card will mix WWE stars with talent from AAA, the Mexican lucha libre promotion WWE acquired in 2025.
The partnership builds on WWE's existing relationship with ESPN, extending it from broadcast into Disney's physical theme-park infrastructure — a notable shift for a company that has historically kept its live events in dedicated arenas.
Merchandise and fan experience
WWE and Fanatics will bring WWE World, the company's interactive fan festival, to the complex for both days. Fans get access to:
- Exclusive merchandise
- Photo opportunities with WWE Superstars
- Autograph sessions with WWE Superstars
WWE will also produce and sell "Avengers: Doomsday" co-branded products, including title belts, at WWE World, WWEShop.com and across select Disney retail stores.
When do tickets go on sale?
Two-day combo tickets go on sale Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. A general presale for combo tickets starts a day earlier, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. ET. Additional event and fan experience details will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the announcement.
What does this change for fans? It's the first time a WWE premium live event carries a Marvel movie tie-in at a Disney resort — and the first test of whether wrestling crowds and theme-park crowds can share the same venue for a full weekend.
