Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's Elizabeth Holmes documentary "You Can See Everything" will screen at Italy's Torino Film Festival, with both directors expected to attend. The festival runs in Turin from Nov. 24 to Dec. 2, 2026.

The film has become one of the year's biggest box office surprises. It opened to $15.6 million in the U.S., then grossed another $19.5 million in its second frame this past weekend — roughly $35 million in ten days from a single market. That figure anchors the documentary's leap from festival curiosity to commercial hit.

What is the film about?

The documentary offers an intimate look at the Theranos founder's life one month before she began an 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors. It world premiered at Telluride in the U.S., then screened at the New York Film Festival.

The international launch now begins on the overseas festival circuit, with stopovers at Amsterdam's IDFA documentary festival and the Stockholm International Film Festival in mid-November, followed by Torino.

Who distributes it, and where?

The rollout spans multiple territories and distributors:

  • Italy: Andrea Romeo's I Wonder Pictures, one of the country's top distributors, with close ties to A24. No Italian release date has been set.
  • U.K. and Ireland: A24 self-releases the film on Nov. 20.
  • Latin America, Scandinavia, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Greece, the Middle East, Israel, India, South Korea and Southeast Asia: Sony Pictures Worldwide has acquired distribution rights, with dates to be announced.

What did Torino's artistic director say?

Giulio Base, Torino's artistic director, praised the film in a statement. "There are films that make me fall in love with cinema all over again and remind me why I've dedicated so much of my life to it," Base said. "You Can See Everything" is one of them: a true masterpiece, bold and unsettling, that turns the boundary between truth and mise-en-scène into a dizzying visual adventure," the Torino chief added.

The 2026 edition marks the 44th Torino Film Festival and the third programmed under Base's guidance. The festival's full lineup will be announced on Thursday.

In plain terms: a documentary about a convicted fraudster has already earned more than $35 million in U.S. theaters, and its international run — starting in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Turin — will test whether that momentum travels.
