Jisoo, the singer and actor best known as a member of K-pop group Blackpink, has signed with talent agency WME, which will represent her worldwide. The deal lands mid-momentum: her new single "Addicted" hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts across 28 regions and also topped the iTunes Worldwide Songs chart after its release last week.
What does the new deal cover?
WME will handle the star's representation globally. The agency's music division already counts Adele, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Olivia Rodrigo, Rihanna, Shakira and The Weeknd among its clients — a roster that puts Jisoo in company with some of the biggest-selling recording artists working today. The signing signals the scale of ambition around her solo career.
"Addicted" is a moody dance-pop number about being powerless against attraction. It follows "Click," billed as her first pre-album single, a pop track about two people from very different backgrounds who find their way to each other. Two singles in quick succession point to a larger project ahead.
How big is Jisoo's solo track record?
The numbers are substantial. Jisoo first went solo in 2023 with her debut EP "Me," which set a South Korean benchmark: the first record by a female soloist in the country to top 1 million in sales — a million-plus copies for a single debut release by one artist. Its breakout single "Flower" climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 and went one better on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, where it hit No. 1.
The "Flower" music video drew the biggest 24-hour debut audience of any K-pop video released that year, meaning no K-pop act — group or soloist — opened stronger on the platform in 2023.
She followed with the 2025 mini album "Amortage," featuring the tracks "Earthquake" and "Your Love." Last year she also released "Eyes Closed," a collaboration with Zayn. That song became her second solo release to crack the Top 10 of Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, charted at No. 20 on the Global 200, and peaked at No. 72 on the Hot 100.
What has she done beyond music in 2026?
Jisoo has kept busy outside the recording studio this year:
- Completed Blackpink's Deadline World Tour, a sold-out stadium run across North America, Europe and Asia
- Headlined "Boyfriend on Demand," a Netflix rom-com series that debuted in March
- Made her first Met Gala appearance in May
- Teamed with Off-White and Pokémon on brand collaborations
The takeaway: the WME deal aggregates a music, screen and fashion portfolio under one agency roof.
With "Addicted" charting worldwide and a pre-album single cycle already underway, the signing positions Jisoo's next release — and her expansion beyond music — as one of the most closely watched K-pop solo stories of the year.
