Metallica Announce 2027 North American Stadium Tour
Metallica will open a twelve-date 2027 North American stadium run on May 8 at Vancouver's BC Place, continuing the M72 Tour the band first launched in 2022.

Metallica will launch a twelve-date North American stadium tour in May 2027, opening May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The run follows the band's residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, which runs for months and, as the announcement notes, will likely feature pyrotechnics on the venue's massive interior screens.
The 2027 trek continues Metallica's M72 Tour, which the group first launched in 2022. The new dates move across the West, South, and Midwest, then eastward.
The full itinerary:
- 05-08 Vancouver, British Columbia — BC Place
- 05-13 San Diego, CA — Snapdragon Stadium
- 05-18 El Paso, TX — Sun Bowl Stadium
- 05-22 San Antonio, TX — Alamodome
- 05-26 Fayetteville, AR — Razorback Stadium
- 05-29 Kansas City, MO — Arrowhead Stadium
- 06-02 Raleigh, NC — Carter-Finley Stadium
- 06-05 Indianapolis, IN — Lucas Oil Stadium
- 06-08 Buffalo, NY — Highmark Stadium
- 06-12 Madison, WI — Camp Randall Stadium
- 06-15 Cleveland, OH — Huntington Bank Field
- 06-19 Salt Lake City, UT — Rice-Eccles Stadium
The routing favors NFL-sized venues and college football stadiums, including Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Eleven of the twelve cities sit outside the traditional coastal touring circuit, underscoring the M72 Tour's reach into secondary markets since its 2022 launch.
The announcement arrives while the band remains committed to the Sphere residency, meaning Metallica will move directly from one of music's most technologically ambitious venues to a conventional stadium production spanning the continent.
By the time the Salt Lake City date closes the run on June 19, 2027, the M72 Tour will have been on the road for roughly five years — a lifespan that places it among the longest-running tours by a legacy metal act.
