Phoebe Bridgers has released "On Video," a new song composed specifically for Primetime, the A24 film that opens in theaters today, September 25. The track functions as the film's closing music.

Primetime, directed by Lance Oppenheim, chronicles Chris Hansen's infamous 2000s television program To Catch a Predator. Robert Pattinson portrays Hansen, with Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Bridgers starring in additional roles.

"On Video" is not a one-off single tacked onto the movie. Bridgers composed it for Primetime, drawing influence from composer Ari Balouzian's original score to bring the film to its end.

The film marks Bridgers' first time acting as a cast member in a movie, though it is not technically her debut on screen. In 2024, she made a cameo as herself in Jane Schoenbrun's I Saw the TV Glow.

The song arrives amid a busy stretch for the musician. Last month, Bridgers returned as a solo artist with Lost Weekend, her third solo LP and her first in six years, following 2020's Punisher. She is currently on an extensive headlining tour in support of the record, and she has invited some of the album's collaborators to help bring it to life onstage.

The placement of "On Video" over the film's final moments signals how fully Bridgers has embedded herself in the Primetime project — as cast member, composer, and now tour headliner, she enters the fall with a rare foothold in both film and music.
