Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will mark their 50th anniversary with a new box set, Origins 1971-1978, out November 6 on UMe. The 5xLP collection documents the band's incubation and early years around its formation in 1976.

One disc, No Sleep Til L.A., compiles rarities spanning Petty's Mudcrutch years through the dawn of the Heartbreakers and will also receive a standalone release. It features seven unreleased songs. A video for one of them, "Parade of Loons," stars Iain Armitage, the young actor known for playing the title role in Young Sheldon.

The set includes 50th anniversary editions of the albums Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and You're Gonna Get It!, both newly mixed and mastered by Ryan Ulyate, the band's longtime producer and engineer. It also contains Live from the Record Plant 1977, a sessions recording released in full for the first time, and a rarities collection titled The Cut Out Bin.

The announcement precedes a Heartbreakers reunion at tonight's Americana Awards, where the band will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Chris Stapleton will join original Heartbreakers Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch and Ron Blair to open the show.

Beyond the 5xLP format, the box arrives in 4xCD and "uber deluxe" editions, each adding a Blu-ray and a DVD of the band's 1978 performance on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test. The vinyl editions include an 88-page fanzine with liner notes by David Fricke and Bud Scoppa, track-by-track annotations from the band, and various collectibles.
