Gnarls Barkley Tour Will Feature Cee Lo Green — But Not Danger Mouse

Gnarls Barkley's first tour in 18 years will proceed without half of the duo. Cee Lo Green will take the group's music on the road this November; Danger Mouse will not.

The trek, announced last week as the To Whom It Still Concerns Tour, was billed as the pair's first since 2008 and as support for Gnarls Barkley's third and "final" album, Atlanta, released earlier this year. The announcement prompted fan assumptions that both members would perform. Live Nation corrected that reading within days.

"Gnarls Barkley's 2026 To Whom It Still Concerns Tour has always been planned as a CeeLo Green-led live run," Live Nation said in a statement. "Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) was not scheduled to participate in the tour dates. CeeLo Green will perform the duo's music for fans across North America."

A representative for Danger Mouse told Rolling Stone that the producer "was never planning on going on tour, but the duo agreed that Green could use the Gnarls Barkley name for the tour." A representative for Green declined to comment.

The original announcement had done little to signal the absence. "We're excited to announce the Gnarls Barkley 'To Whom It Still Concerns' 2026 US and UK Tour is coming to a city near you," the duo wrote on social media, leaning on the word "We." The post continued: "We will be performing some of our iconic hits along with songs from our new album 'Atlanta.'"

Between the initial announcement and press time, Live Nation quietly edited the tour page to add the disclaimer: "Please note: Danger Mouse will not be appearing on the upcoming To Whom It Still Concerns tour." The tour poster was also modified. It now reads "CeeLo Green Performing" above the words "Gnarls Barkley."

Green addressed the confusion directly on social media. "Danger mouse will not be performing. We want no misunderstandings / disappointments etc. He is my Producer(a great one at that) ! not a performing artist by trade. We are business partners, Whatever he decides for himself is his right…and I support him (vice versa) this is a disclaimer."

The tour still kicks off November 5 in San Francisco and runs through November 28 in Chicago. It includes a homecoming stop in Atlanta on November 10. Atlanta is Gnarls Barkley's first album since 2008's The Odd Couple.

Green has framed the run in expansive terms. "The Gnarls Barkley 'To Whom It Still Concerns' Tour operates like an open book, exploring the universal matters of life, death and everything in between," he said in a previous statement. "These songs are the silver lining to an otherwise sad story. Come, and let's celebrate together the beautiful madness of it all."

The episode leaves the Gnarls Barkley reunion in an unusual position: a "final" album credited to both members, a tour carrying the duo's name, and only one of them on stage when the lights come up in San Francisco on November 5.
