Programme

  1. The 29-track companion album is executive-produced by Dave Cobb and released Nov. 13 on MCA, one week before the film's Nov. 20 theatrical release.
  2. Jennifer Lawrence contributes the song 'Deep in the Meadow'; Whitney Peak's 'The Raven' opens the album across three tracks.
  3. Three songs are already out: Noah Kahan's 'Draw You Out,' plus October releases from the Smashing Pumpkins and Gigi Perez.
  4. James Newton Howard's score album arrives separately on Nov. 20 with the film.

A 29-track companion album for "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" lands Nov. 13 on MCA, with Jennifer Lawrence, Stevie Nicks, Tyler Childers, Kacey Musgraves and the Cure all on the track list. Dave Cobb executive-produced the record at the Nashville label where he now serves as one of the top executives. The album arrives one week before the franchise prequel reaches theaters on Nov. 20.

Who appears on the album?

Cast members contribute new material directly. Whitney Peak opens the record with "The Raven," the first of three "Raven" tracks that also anchor positions six and twelve, plus a fourth song, "The Goose and The Common." Mckenna Grace delivers "Half Alive." Lawrence, who is understood to have a small role in the film, sings "Deep in the Meadow" at track 26.

The rock, country and Americana contingent runs deep:

  • Ella Langley — "Here Then We're Gone"
  • Tyler Childers — "Old Money"
  • Kacey Musgraves — "Ruthless (The Arena Mix)"
  • Stevie Nicks — "Doing The Best That I Can (Arena Mix)"
  • The Cure — "Alone (Live in Berlin 2022)"
  • Depeche Mode and KÁRYYN — "Survive (Arena Mix/KÁRYYN Rework)"
  • The Smashing Pumpkins — "Black Stars"
  • Noah Kahan — "Draw You Out"

Newcomers and rising writers fill out the list, among them Noah Cyrus ("Ash and Snow"), Lizzy McAlpine ("The Wheel"), Madison Cunningham ("Show Me Where The Ending Starts"), Violet Grohl ("Metal Birds"), Carter Faith ("Can't Let You Go") and Kashus Culpepper ("May Brings Flowers"), alongside Madeline Edwards, Stephen Wilson Jr., Gigi Perez, Sydney Rose, Bella Kay, Billy Vincent, Hudson Freeman, Scot Greenan and Emelie Trahan.

What has already been released?

Three songs are out now. Noah Kahan's "Draw You Out" led the rollout as the first single, followed in October by the Smashing Pumpkins' "Black Stars" and Gigi Perez's "Favor." The timing gives the label more than a month of streaming runway before the film opens.

Langley arrives with real commercial weight. She holds the biggest single of 2026 in "Choosin' Texas" and the year's second-biggest album to date.

What does this change for listeners?

This is an old-fashioned "inspired by" album, not a soundtrack of music heard in the film — few of these songs are likely to appear on screen, as was the case with earlier collections in the franchise. James Newton Howard's score will be released separately alongside the film on Nov. 20. For fans, that means two distinct releases: one a star-studded song collection curated by Cobb, the other the film's actual music. The companion album's scale — 29 tracks, nearly 30 artists, three cast vocalists — signals Lionsgate-era franchise marketing at full force, positioning the prequel's musical world as an event in its own right ahead of the Nov. 20 premiere.
