Justice Recruit Tame Impala and SZA for 'GTA 6' Track 'Flower in a Hurricane'

By Elena Vasquez

Justice have released "Flower in a Hurricane," the first offering from the French duo's score for Grand Theft Auto VI, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. The track arrived alongside the latest trailer for the game, which finally lands November 19 after years of delays.

The three guests switch off vocals. The song reads as a modern take on a cut gamers might have heard on the Eighties-set Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtrack — the setting GTA VI revisits, albeit in the present day.

The collaboration reunites Justice with Tame Impala, who contributed to the duo's album Hyperdrama. One detail stands out in the credits: the song bears a striking similarity to Dire Straits' "Money for Nothing," yet Mark Knopfler is not among the 11 songwriters listed on the track.

What is Justice's role in GTA VI?

Beyond "Flower in a Hurricane," Rockstar Games have enlisted Justice to compose the original score for GTA VI in full. Snippets of that score had already surfaced in teasers for the title, which arrives November 19 after years — and years — of delays.

The score is only part of the audio architecture. "Flower in a Hurricane" also counts among roughly three dozen original songs written specifically for the game. The full track list remains unannounced, but Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards — yes, that Keith Richards — are confirmed contributors.

In short: one French duo now anchors both the score and the flagship single of the most anticipated game release of the decade.

Who hosts the in-game radio stations?

Rockstar Games previously revealed an all-star roster of artists hosting their own radio stations within GTA VI:

• Bad Bunny — Cocoteo FM
• Lana Del Rey — Back Country Radio
• Robyn — Flash FM (pop)
• Trick Daddy and Trina — Dirty South Classics (regional rap and classic hip-hop)
• Burna Boy and DJ Palms Trax — AfroBank FM
• Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya — The Chamber 106.6 (heavy metal)

That makes six featured stations, all previewable now on the official GTA VI website.

Why does this release matter?

The scale is the story. Eleven credited songwriters on one track, roughly three dozen original songs commissioned for a single title, and six marquee-hosted radio stations place GTA VI's soundtrack among the largest original music productions attached to any entertainment release this year.

For Justice, the assignment follows Hyperdrama and marks their highest-profile commission to date. For Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, it puts them inside a franchise whose Vice City soundtracks — curated deep cuts from the Eighties — became cultural reference points in their own right.

The bet from Rockstar is clear: original music, not just licensed catalog, will define GTA VI's sound. Whether "Flower in a Hurricane" becomes this cycle's radio anthem will be answered when the game ships November 19.
