The festival runs Oct. 15-22 in Newport Beach, California.

"He consistently delivers standout performances in both major blockbusters and character-driven indies, and we are thrilled to celebrate his career in Newport Beach."
What will screen alongside the honor?
Teller next stars in James Gray's thriller "Paper Tiger" alongside Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. The film follows two brothers who become entangled in a dangerous criminal underworld. "Paper Tiger" will screen at the festival on Oct. 18 — the same day as the Honors ceremony — before Neon releases it in theaters on Nov. 13.
The festival's 2025 program also includes screenings of:
- "A Talent for Murder"
- "Behemoth!"
- "Ink"
- "Josephine"
- "La Bola Negra"
- "The Only Living Pickpocket in New York"
- "Wild Horse Nine"
Who else is being honored?
Teller joins a previously announced roster of festival honorees:
- KJ Apa
- Sosie Bacon
- Gemma Chan
- Jonás Cuarón
- Sarah Finn
- Mckenna Grace
- Justin Hartley
- Taraji P. Henson

What are Teller's best-known credits?
Teller played Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw in Paramount's "Top Gun: Maverick" and broke out as drummer Andrew Neiman in Damien Chazelle's "Whiplash." On television, he portrayed producer Al Ruddy in the limited series "The Offer."
His recent work includes A24's "Eternity" and Apple TV+'s "The Gorge," as well as the dramas "The Spectacular Now," "Only the Brave" and "Bleed for This." He is currently in production on the crime thriller "Copperhead."
The Oct. 18 double bill — the Honors ceremony and the "Paper Tiger" screening — positions the festival as an early showcase for a film that Neon will put into theaters nationwide less than a month later, on Nov. 13.
