The soundtrack for Season 3 of Nobody Wants This arrives Oct. 23 across 17 tracks, with Miley Cyrus, J Balvin and Stella Lefty leading a lineup of 15 artists. The album drops one day after the romantic comedy series premieres its third season on Oct. 22.

Megan Moroney, Ellie Goulding, Ravyn Lenae, Metric, Bailey Zimmerman, Maisie Peters, Noga Erez, Mimi Webb, Jessie Murph, Alyssa Grace, Cameron Whitcomb, Bella Kay and Elle Coves complete the roster. Composer Duncan Blickenstaff contributes an original score suite that closes the set.

What rare and unreleased tracks appear?

Three songs carry particular weight for collectors. J Balvin's "Click Click Flash" previously appeared in the video game Fortnite. Miley Cyrus contributes a demo of "You," a song from her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation. Stella Lefty and Bailey Zimmerman deliver the previously unreleased "My Kinda Love."

Simon Tikhman, the show's executive producer and soundtrack album producer, produced the compilation alongside Jeff Levin, Chief Zaruk and Ian Cripps.

How did the show build its music reputation?

Season 2 set a high bar. Its soundtrack featured Kacey Musgraves, Role Model, Finneas and Selena Gomez, among others. Show creator Erin Foster explained to Rolling Stone why Gomez's "In the Dark" was chosen for a key scene.

"We knew we needed a song that could hold the weight of that moment — where Joanne [Kristen Bell] and Noah [Adam Brody] are putting on a brave face at Morgan's engagement party, but underneath they're falling apart," Foster said. "'In The Dark' felt like it was written for that exact emotional state: Pretending everything's fine when it's not, reaching for connection even when you're hurting. Selena's voice has this aching vulnerability that made the scene feel even more raw. It captures that."

The multiple Emmy-nominated series follows the love story between Bell's Joanne and Brody's Noah. Season 2 tracked the couple's efforts to make the relationship work, ending in tensions between the pair that, in short, do not resolve well.
