Tara Clerkin Trio Announce 2027 North American Tour

Bristol's Tara Clerkin Trio will tour North America for nearly a month starting January 8, 2027, in support of their new LP Somewhere Good, released in June.

The run opens at Songbird in Washington, D.C., and closes February 6 at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn. In between, Tara Clerkin, Sunny Joe Paradisos, and Patrick Benjamin will play 23 dates across the United States and Canada, including stops at Zebulon in Los Angeles on January 16, Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on January 18, Fox Cabaret in Vancouver on January 23, La Sala Rossa in Montreal on February 2, and First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia on February 5.

The full itinerary also includes Carrboro's Arts Center (January 9), Atlanta's Aisle 5 (January 10), Austin's 29th Street Ballroom (January 12), Phoenix's Valley Bar (January 14), San Diego's Soda Bar (January 15), Arcata's The Miniplex (January 19), Portland's Polaris Hall (January 21), Seattle's Baba Yaga (January 22), Minneapolis' 7th St Entry (January 27), Columbus' Rumba Cafe (January 29), Detroit's Moondog Cafe (January 30), Toronto's Longboat Hall (January 31), Boston's Deep Cuts (February 3), and Tubby's in Kingston, New York (February 4).

The North American leg follows a 15-date UK tour that begins October 20 at the ICA in London, where the trio plays two consecutive nights. The UK run continues with shows at Halle St Peters in Manchester (October 22), Trinity in their hometown of Bristol (October 25), Chapter Arts in Cardiff (October 26), The Attic in Leeds (October 27), Common Ground in Oxford (October 28), The Lubber Fiend in Newcastle (November 14), and a matinee plus evening performance at Glasgow's Glad Cafe on November 15, before concluding at Pianodrom in Edinburgh on November 16.

Somewhere Good, the album anchoring both tours, appeared in June. The record earned a place in The Best Music of 2026 So Far, and Jeremy D. Larson reviewed its title track as a Best New Track.

The Brooklyn finale at Pioneer Works gives the tour a high-profile ending. Pioneer Works, the Red Hook arts center known for its multidisciplinary programming, hosts the trio on February 6, capping a five-borough run that includes no Manhattan date — a routing choice that mirrors the group's habit of playing independent, artist-run, and unconventional rooms across the itinerary, from a church in Philadelphia to a ballroom in Austin.

For a band that built its reputation on Bristol's close-knit scene, the 2027 routing marks the group's most extensive North American presence to date, stretching from the Atlantic coast to Southern California and back across the border into Canada.
