Disney+ will spotlight Season 3 of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" at Italy's Lucca Comics and Games Festival, with stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri attending a dedicated panel that will include previously unseen footage.

Co-creator and executive producer Jonathan E. Steinberg and executive producer Dan Shotz will join the cast on stage.

Season 3 adapts Rick Riordan's third book, "The Titan's Curse." The story follows Percy Jackson (Scobell), Grover Underwood (Simhadri) and their fellow campers at Camp Half-Blood — plus some new faces — as they set out to save Annabeth Chase (Jeffries) and Artemis, goddess of the hunt (Dafne Keen), from the Titan Atlas (Holt McCallany).

Lucca Comics and Games runs Oct. 28-Nov. 1. The festival draws more than 200,000 fans each year inside the walls of the Tuscan town, surrounded by preserved 16th and 17th century ramparts.

The "Percy Jackson" panel is one strand of a heavyweight lineup. Aardman Animations founder Peter Lord and director Peter Walker will attend the Italian premiere of "Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom."

Japanese filmmaker Kore-eda Hirokazu will make the trek to Lucca to meet fans and discuss adapting Fujimoto Tatsuki's manga "Look Back," which blends live-action realism with the creative process behind the manga genre.

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation will launch its latest Dr. Seuss adaptation, "The Cat in the Hat," in the festival's Movie Area section, with directors Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni in tow.

Frank Miller, the seminal writer-graphic artist who created the "Dark Knight" Batman comics series, returns to Lucca for a screening of the documentary "Frank Miller: American Genius," made by his creative partner Silenn Thomas. Thomas will also attend.

Japanese anime producer Hibiki Minagawa will present the international premiere of Toei Animation's children's film "Star Detective Precure – The Movie!"

Also from Japan, director Naoya Ando will present the animated feature "Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames," which retells the iconic "Gintama" manga arc with brand-new subplots.

Lucca, an event dedicated to fandom, cosplay, role-playing games and the entire cross-media universe of comics, has become an integral part of Hollywood studios' promotional push in Europe since the Movie Area strand launched 16 years ago. The "Percy Jackson" panel, with its unseen Season 3 footage before a 200,000-strong crowd, shows how firmly the Tuscan fortress town now sits on the studios' European circuit.
