Javier Manzana Launches Boutique Management Company ARETÉ ARTISTS
Javier Manzana has launched ARETÉ ARTISTS, a boutique management company with six artists including Pablo Ferrández and Alexandra Conunova, built around five pillars.

Javier Manzana has founded ARETÉ ARTISTS, a new international boutique management company dedicated to artistic excellence, long-term career building and meaningful cultural projects.
The roster at launch includes six artists: cellist Pablo Ferrández, violinist Alexandra Conunova, pianist Eva Gevorgyan, conductor Diego Ceretta, conductor Julio García-Vico, and conductor Kevin Spagnolo.
In a letter announcing the venture, Manzana said the company is built around five interconnected pillars: Artist Management, Touring, Artistic Consultancy, Branding and Positioning, and ARETÉ Performance State.
Manzana set out the philosophy behind the new company in unusually personal terms.
"This is not a project born overnight," he wrote. "ARETÉ is the result of many years of thought, work, observation, questions, disappointments, conviction and belief."
He described the company's mission in his letter: it "exists to promote artistic excellence, grounded in musical integrity and uniqueness, and to create experiences that are truly memorable and transcendent."
The language signals a deliberate positioning away from volume-driven management. ARETÉ ARTISTS presents itself as a boutique operation — small roster, long-term career development — rather than a large agency managing dozens of names across multiple genres.
Manzana also framed the venture as the product of his own trajectory inside classical music. "It has been carefully constructed from everything I have learned first as a pianist, then as an artist manager, and as someone who still believes that classical music deserves to be treated with depth, care, integrity, intelligence and uncompromising artistic judgement," he wrote.
The five-pillar structure suggests the company intends to operate beyond conventional representation. Artist Management and Touring cover the traditional core of the business. Artistic Consultancy, Branding and Positioning, and ARETÉ Performance State extend the offer into strategic career design — an area where management firms have increasingly invested as artists seek to control their public identities across platforms and formats.
The launch roster concentrates on a younger generation of European-based instrumentalists and conductors. Ferrández, Conunova and Gevorgyan are established soloists with international careers; Ceretta, García-Vico and Spagnolo represent the conducting field.
No further artists, staffing details or client-transition arrangements were disclosed in the announcement.
With ARETÉ ARTISTS, Manzana enters a competitive management market at a moment when boutique agencies are competing with large firms by promising closer, longer-term artist relationships — and the company's early success will be measured by whether its six-name roster grows on those terms.
