Queens of the Stone Age have released "Where the Goth Girls At?," the third single from their upcoming album Perfecth, out October 30 via Matador.

Frontman Josh Homme grounds the song in his teenage years in a Palm Desert suburb, singing about young love and the urge to impress others to win their affection.

"Watching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving goth makeovers to the old ladies, that's when I knew the only place I want to be is where the goth girls at," Homme said in a press release. "Teenage love, ain't it grand?"

The track follows the previous Perfecth singles "Insignificant Other" and "Easy Street."

The music video pushes the premise further. Directed by Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski, it takes place in a deserted power plant where goth girls rule supreme, demand authority, and convert everyone they meet into their ultimate vision — complete with excessive black ink. The cast features members of Queens of the Stone Age, comedian Steve Agee, dancer Scarlett Kapella, and singer-actress Lou Lou Safran.

The band's fall tour continues tomorrow in Louisville. Queens of the Stone Age will stay on the road across the United States before flying to Japan and Australia for additional shows.

Perfecth arrives two years after the band's 2023 album In Times New Roman., and the October 30 release will land mid-tour — the singles so far suggest Homme is mining memory and suburban absurdity in equal measure.
