Programme

  1. The Katseye x Disney Mickey Mouse collection launches Oct. 15 at 12 p.m. ET exclusively on Complex.com.
  2. Prices for the limited-edition line range from $40 to $100.
  3. The documentary 'Katseye: Wild Hearts' arrives on Hulu and Disney+ this month.

  5. Disney's broader Mickey push includes a $790 Golden Goose sneaker and a $2,300 bomber jacket.

Katseye is getting a Mickey Mouse wardrobe. Disney has partnered with Complex on a limited-edition Mickey and Minnie Mouse apparel collection with the six-member girl group, launching Oct. 15 exclusively on Complex.com.

The line includes hoodies, graphic tees, tank tops, tote bags and enamel pins featuring Disney's signature characters. Prices run from $40 to $100, and the drop goes live at 12 p.m. ET (9 a.m. PT).

The timing is not accidental. The collection lands alongside "Katseye: Wild Hearts," the group's documentary arriving on Hulu and Disney+ this month. The film offers another behind-the-scenes look at a group with an unusual origin story: Katseye was formed through "The Debut: Dream Academy," a competition series run jointly by Hybe and Geffen Records, and has since become one of pop's fastest-rising acts.

What does the deal actually say?

Disney frames it as a bridge between the band's story and its own iconography. "As audiences get to experience Katseye's journey through 'Katseye: Wild Hearts,' this collaboration offers fans another way to connect with the group's creativity and authenticity," Bobby Kim, Disney's VP of global creative direction, said in a statement. "Together with Complex, we paired that spirit with the optimism and friendship of Mickey & Friends to create a collection that celebrates music, culture and storytelling."

That's a two-way trade. Katseye gets placement inside the Disney merchandise machine; Disney gets a fast-rising act attached to a character it's preparing for a milestone birthday.

Why Mickey, and why now?

The Katseye deal is one piece of a broader fashion push. Disney is approaching Mickey Mouse's 100th anniversary in 2028, and it's been lining up partners across the price spectrum:

  • A Mickey & Friends collection with luxury sneaker brand Golden Goose, unveiled this week, featuring $790 sneakers and $2,300 bomber jackets.
  • A new collaboration with Swedish designer Gustaf Westman.
  • A partnership with streetwear label Kith on Mickey-inspired apparel.
  • A multi-year partnership with Vogue, announced earlier this year, enlisting fashion designers to reinterpret the character ahead of his centennial.

Read together, the moves show a clear strategy. Disney is treating Mickey less as a cartoon mascot and more as a fashion property — one that can carry everything from $40 enamel pins to $2,300 outerwear.

What does this change for fans?

Practically, two things. If you want the collection, you'll need to be at Complex.com on Oct. 15 at 12 p.m. ET, because it's a limited edition sold on a single platform. And if you want the full Katseye story, the documentary lands on Hulu and Disney+ the same month, so the merchandise and the film work as a paired release.

For the group itself, the partnership marks another rung on a fast climb — from a TV-formed act to a brand that Disney trusts with one of its most valuable characters two years before his centennial.
