Soprano Emma Marhefka Signs with Askonas Holt for Global Management

Soprano Emma Marhefka has joined the roster of Askonas Holt for worldwide general management, the agency has announced. Kate Robson will manage the American singer at the London-based firm.

Marhefka comes to the agency with major credentials already in hand. She was a 2025 Grand Finals Winner in the Metropolitan Opera's Laffont Competition, one of the most closely watched contests for emerging operatic talent in the United States.

She is currently in her second year of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, the Met's prestigious training scheme for singers at the start of major careers.

Her performance record to date spans a range of American companies. She has performed with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, The Philadelphia, and at the Brevard Music Center.

In 2023, she was a finalist in Houston Grand Opera's Eleanor McCollum Competition.

Her training résumé reads as a survey of the leading young artist programs in the United States. She is an alumna of Arizona Opera's Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artist Program, the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Artist Program, Wolf Trap Opera Studio, and the Des Moines Metro Opera Apprentice Artist Program.

The immediate future holds significant debuts. In the Met's 2026-27 season, Marhefka will appear as Pamina in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" and as Madeleine Audebert in Kevin Puts' "Silent Night."

She will also make her Seattle Opera debut, singing Musetta in Puccini's "La Bohème."

The signing signals the scale of the career Askonas Holt expects the soprano to build. Two role appearances at the Metropolitan Opera and a company debut in Seattle in a single season mark a decisive step from the young artist circuit onto the main international stage.
