Anduaga was set to perform a recital program devoted to the French and Italian repertoire:

- Jules Massenet
Julio García Vico was scheduled to conduct the Orquesta Titular del Teatro Real for the performance.
What comes next for Anduaga?
The cancellation does not affect the tenor's upcoming staged engagements. Anduaga next sings "La fille du Régiment" at the Wiener Staatsoper, followed by "Lucia di Lammermoor" at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
The Teatro Real has not announced whether the concert will be rescheduled for a later date, leaving the recital off the company's calendar for now.
