Paris Opera Play, the Paris Opera's streaming platform, has announced its 2026-27 slate: seven titles running from September 2026 to June 2027, led by Anna Netrebko, Nicole Car, Sondra Radvanovsky and Ludovic Tézier.

The season opens with Verdi's "Un Ballo in Maschera," streamed from Sept. 1, 2026. The cast features Anna Netrebko, Matthew Polenzani and Ludovic Tézier, with Speranza Scappucci conducting and Gilbert Deflo directing. The production was filmed in February 2026.

Dvořák's "Rusalka" follows on Oct. 1, 2026, starring Nicole Car, Sergey Skorokhodov and Jamie Barton. Kazushi Ōno conducts, and Robert Carsen directs. The performance was captured in May 2026.

The slate's most ambitious project arrives in November: Calixto Bieito's production of Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen," broadcast live on Nov. 15, 17, 19 and 22, 2026. Tamara Wilson, Christopher Maltman, Andreas Schager, Brian Mulligan and Eve Maud Hubeaux headline the cycle, with Pablo Heras-Casado on the podium.

Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito" streams on Dec. 17, 2026, starring Pavol Breslik and Emily D'Angelo. Harry Bicket conducts; Willy Decker directs.

On Feb. 23, 2027, a gala tribute to the French soprano Régine Crespin brings together Sondra Radvanovsky, Ludovic Tézier, Marina Rebeka, Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Ekaterina Gubanova and Léa Desandre, conducted by Nathalie Stutzmann and directed by Yves Lenoir.

The platform adds new work to the mix. "Miroir de nos Peines," a world premiere by Hèctor Parra, streams on May 4, 2027, with Ingo Metzmacher conducting and Mariame Clément staging.

The season closes in June 2027 with "Ce qui Brûle en Silence," an Opera Academy production built around madrigals by Claudio Monteverdi, Barbara Strozzi and Bénigne de Bacilly Fénelon. Evann Loget Raymond conducts; Victoria Sitjà directs.

With a live Ring cycle and a world premiere alongside its star-driven revivals, the slate signals Paris Opera Play's aim to compete as a full-season streaming destination rather than an archive of past productions.
