The previous record holder was Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which topped the Hot 100 for 22 weeks. Langley's single surpassed that mark this week, according to Billboard chart data.

"Choosin' Texas" arrived last October as the lead single from the 27-year-old singer and songwriter's album Dandelion. The song has now held the top position for 23 cumulative weeks, a run that outlasted one of the most dominant and seasonally reliable hits in modern pop history.
